Slat Chain

Slat chain conveyor for heavy, hot or wet-duty transfer.

The Slat Chain Conveyor is a robust and versatile conveying system that uses slats—made of stainless steel, plastic, or other durable materials—mounted on a chain-driven mechanism. Its stable, flat slat surface allows safe and even transport of heavy, irregular, or high-temperature products, and it operates reliably in both dry and wet environments while maintaining consistent product speed. This makes it well suited to bottling lines, inspection/packaging stations, and assembly-line material handling across many industries.

Also known as: SS slat chain conveyor, SS 304 slat chain conveyor, bottle conveyor, slat conveyor.

Questions buyers ask

Slat Chain Conveyor, explained

What is a slat conveyor used for?

A slat conveyor is used where products need a hard, flat and stable deck: bottle washing, filling, capping and labelling lines, and carrying bottles, vials or cartons through inspection stations. Its slats take heavy, irregular or high-temperature products and run reliably in wet or dry conditions at a steady speed. It serves food and beverage, pharmaceutical and cosmetics plants as well as packaging, automotive and assembly lines.

What sizes and speeds does the slat chain conveyor come in?

KFlexiTrack slat chain conveyors are 65 to 300 mm wide and 1 to 10 metres long, set at a working height of 700 to 900 mm to match the line. They run at 5 to 35 m/min on 220 V or 415 V, through a direct, chain or belt drive. Width and slat shape are made to suit the product.

Stainless steel or plastic slats?

Both are available: the slats come in stainless steel or plastic, on a frame of stainless steel SS 304, mild steel or aluminium. Stainless is finished matt or bead-blasted, and mild steel is painted or powder-coated. The slat material is chosen with you for the product and the duty, and fixed in the specification before fabrication.

Can a slat conveyor move product vertically?

The KFlexiTrack slat chain conveyor carries product along the line at a working height of 700 to 900 mm; to move product between levels, KFlexiTrack builds two other machines. The vertical lifting conveyor raises or lowers cartons, trays and cases 3 to 10 metres in either direction. The spiral conveyor lifts lighter unit products 2 to 5 metres on a modular belt in a small footprint.
