Bucket Elevator

Bucket elevator for vertical lifting of powder and grain.

The Bucket Conveyor / Elevator is a mechanical system for the vertical or inclined transport of bulk materials, using high-strength buckets attached to a belt or chain in continuous operation. It carries grains, powders, pellets, and other flowable materials between process stages or elevations, moving them from ground level to elevated points. An optional dust-tight enclosure provides effective dust control during handling.

Bucket Elevator Conveyor, explained

Is a bucket conveyor the same as a bucket elevator?

Bucket conveyor and bucket elevator are two names for the same machine: buckets fixed to a belt or chain that lift bulk material vertically, or on an incline, from a lower point to a higher one. Material is fed in at the foot and discharged at the head as each bucket turns over. KFlexiTrack builds it with a vibrator feeder hopper at the inlet, a dust-tight enclosure option and VFD speed control.

What materials can a bucket elevator lift?

A bucket elevator lifts loose, flowable material: powders such as flour and sugar, food grains, pellets, nuts and snacks, frozen foods, and tablets and capsules. Because it climbs vertically, it moves that material between process stages or up into a hopper in little more floor space than its own casing. It serves food and beverage, pharmaceutical and cosmetics plants, and packaging and manufacturing lines.

What sizes and bucket options are available?

KFlexiTrack bucket elevators are 300 to 600 mm wide and lift 3 to 10 metres at 5 to 15 m/min. Buckets are HDPE, food-grade or stainless steel, from 300 ml to 10 litres each, at a pitch of 152 to 250 mm. The frame is stainless steel SS 304 or mild steel, matt or bead-blasted in stainless and painted or powder-coated in mild steel, standing on levelling pads or wheels. It runs on 220 V or 415 V through a direct, chain or belt drive.

Where are KFlexiTrack bucket elevators made?

Every bucket elevator is designed and fabricated at the KFlexiTrack works in Ponda, Goa, India. Frames are laser-cut, bent, machined and welded in-house, and the machine is installed, aligned and commissioned on site, with operator training at hand-over. Spares, preventive maintenance and retrofits follow for the life of the machine.
